Lyrics and Video of PBB Teen Editon Theme Song: "Ang Sarap Dito" by Project 1

I'M SURE you have been hearing this song over and over. It's catchy tune and easy-to-memorize lyrics made it perfect for a Coke commercial jingle. As Coke commercial airs, ABS-CBN's Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus is also promoted.

This is performed by Project 1, a group composed of members of several Pinoy Rock bands. They are: Raimund Marasigan (Sandwich), Clem Castro (Orange and Lemons), Francis Reyes (The Dawn), Carlos Calderon (Chicosci), Jazz Nicolas (Itchyworms), Uela Basco (Chilitees), and Katwo Librando (Narda/Duster).

Here's the lyrics and the video below:

Ang Sarap Dito
Project 1

Lilipad na ako
Sabayan nyo ako
Ang sarap dito
Sa pupuntahan ko

Bubuhos na ang saya
Tayo na sumama ka
Ang sarap dito
Sa pupuntahan ko

Sawa na ko sa dati
Naiinip parati
Wala na akong magawa
Dito’y sawang sawa

Ayoko na sa ganon
Lahat sobrang tahimik
Gusto ko ng mas maingay
Tumikim na ng tunay

Lilipad na ako
Sabayan nyo ako
Ang sarap dito
Sa pupuntahan ko

Bubuhos na ang saya
Tayo na sumama ka
Ang sarap dito
Sa pupuntahan ko

Ang uhaw ko sa laro
Parang biglang napawi
Wala na ring hapdi
Nakangiti na lagi

Pananabik sa bagong buhay
Bigla na lang naabot
Ng tumikim ako ng tunay
Nawala na ang bugnot

Lilipad na ako
Sabayan nyo ako
Ang sarap dito
Sa pupuntahan ko

Bubuhos na ang saya
Tayo na sumama ka
Ang sarap dito
Sa pupuntahan ko

Tikman mo
Ang sarap dito
Tikman mo
Ang sarap dito

Lilipad na ako
Sabayan nyo ako
Ang sarap dito
Sa pupuntahan ko

Bubuhos na ang saya
Tayo na sumama ka
Ang sarap dito
Sa pupuntahan ko

Lilipad na ako
Sabayan nyo ako
Ang sarap dito
Sa pupuntahan ko

Bubuhos na ang saya
Tayo na sumama ka
Ang sarap dito
Sa pupuntahan ko

Tikman mo
Ang sarap dito
Tikman mo
Ang sarap dito
Tikman mo
Ang sarap dito

Tikman mo

ABS-CBN's 'The Singing Bee' Lacks Excitement

I AM not surprised with how the first three episodes of The Singing Bee turned out. For me, it's just but an extravagant waste of a production.

First off, Ceasar Montano, great might he be in acting and making movies, he simply failed to entertain me with his hosting. He's so bland on the stage and it seems to me that he has no presence of mind and spontaniety--two of the charactersitics of a good host. Everything he does seems so choreographed. He doesn't look happy or comfortable at all. And that doesn't make me happy or comfortable either. Maybe, the management of the Kapamilya network just wanted to keep Montano busy, else, he'll be crossing the border to the rival station. That's just a thought. I don't see that Cesar Montano is the right man for the job. Have you seen how awkward he looks, doing the bee hand movement?

Secondly, the stage is filled with uncessary elements. The set is too maximalistic that it offsets what the people are supposed to watch. Honestly, all I see is clutter.

There is also nothing exciting about their mechanics. They should do something about it. They're wasting the people's (prime) time watching silly contestants playing a silly game.
Here's a video, in case you haven't seen an episode yet:

If you are watching All Start K of GMA-7, I'm sure you will have something to say.

Is Richard Gutierrez Doing Good on Pinoy Idol?

*It's Raymond, not Richard, stupid! Haha.

***

IT HAS been three weeks since Pinoy Idol started airing on GMA-7. Everybody is excited to know the finalists. But other than that, Richard Raymond Gutierrez's performance as host is being questioned in blogs and forums around. Is he doing well?

You judge fro these videos:

Episode 1

Episode 2

Episode 3

I thinks he is good but I also think he needs more charisma. There seem to be a weak connection between him as the host and the viewers. But we will see in the coming episodes, he might improve or people might learn to like him.

As I see it, it's more like the judges are not doing well. Haha. Ogie and Jolina looks as if they are confused about what they really like. We'll see of them in the near future.

Earth Day Jam 2008 and The Issue About Its Poster

DID THE Earth Day Jam 2008 stole somebody's work on DeviantART for the show's poster?

That's the issue I snorted over at blog.edarevalo.net regarding the poster of the concert to be staged on April 25 dubbed, Earth Day Jam 2008 in celebration of EarthDay08.

Earth Day Jam 2008 features, among others, performers favored by a great score of us, Barbie Almalbis, Brownman Revival, Callalily, Imago, KJwan, Moonstar ‘88 , Noel Cabangon, Radioactive Sago Project, Rivermaya, Sandwich, Sinosikat, South Border, The Company, The Philippine Latin-Jazz Orchestra, True Faith, and Up Dharma Down.

This is the poster in question. It is said that Earth Day Jam organizers used the photo without permission from SlumberDollStock's account on DeviantART and covered the head with a globe.

This link, might make things clearer at the moment: http://slumberdollstock.deviantart.com/journal/17873183/?offset=50#comments
My two cents on the issue: Once you put something over the net, it can't be helped that somebody might just find some use for it. You only cling to the person's sense of ethics to recognize you as the creator of one particular work. In this case, the organizers--in their excitement, maybe--failed to ask permission to use SlumberDollStock's photo for the poster. But it can be settled, of course.

Sara Geronimo Shouldn't Be Insecure With Charisse Pempengco

ON THE primetime news on ABS-CBN today, the anchors mentioned as teaser Sarah Geronimo being insecure with Charisse Pempengco. But I don't think the former has to be insecure with the latter for a few reasons.

Sarah Geronimo herself is already as established pop star. She was able to work her way to fame through her talent. She already had sold-out concerts here and abroad, multi-platinum album, top-rating soap opera, good movie roles, hosting stints, and, recently, image modelling for a clothing company.

Although at the moment Charisse leads in Google Searches and YouTube viewership, the singing prowess of Sarah cannot be discounted. It is just that Charisse has already become this famous as young as she is today. Their singing styles might be different but we all would agree that singing, being an art, is subjective. So, some might actually think that one of them is better than the other. In that case, I should say, they are not supposed to be compared with each other but rather be celebrated as Filipino talents who continue to entertain us and to bring pride to our country.

Two thumbs up for Sarah Geronimo and Charisse Pempengco.

* We should all watch out: ASAP '08 might be staging a showdown between the two.

Charisse Pempengco Meets Oprah!

NO LESS than the queen of talk Oprah Winfrey did our little Charisse Pempengco inspire!

Here's a teaser of her episode on Oprah:

Charisse may not have won in ABS-CBN's Little Big Star, she wowed the world with her amazing voice. Korea's Star King, US' Ellen DeGeneres Show, and London's Paul O'Grady Show gave her standing ovations. Now, she made Oprah Winfrey cry, she said on primetime news.

Her episode on Oprah has been taped already and is to be shown sometime soon. Charisse is indeed the pride of Filipinos. Not only did she conquered YouTube, she's making waves in the international music scene.

Im posting some of her videos. As soon as I get the latest or the newest, I will be posting it here:

Charesse on the Ellen DeGeneres Show

Charesse Pempengco on the Paul O'Grady Show

* Maybe, she (or her manager, for that matter) has to make the spelling of her name consistent. Is it really Charice Pempengco, Charesse Pempengco, or Charisse Pempengco? And they also have to make it it clear that she is not Chinese but a Filipino. :D

Lyrics of Pasubali by Sponge Cola -- Theme Song of Koreanovela, Lovers

THE QUEEN of Koreanovelas, Kim Jung Eun (Lovers in Paris, Princess Lulu) is back in ABS-CBN's newest Koreanovela, Lovers.

The catchy official sountrack, Pasubali, is sung by Sponge Cola. The song sounds good. It's uniquely Sponge Cola. Here's a video and the lyrics of the song:

Pasubali
by Sponge Cola

Kung pwede lang
Wag mo na 'tong iwasan
At 'wag mo ring
Ituring na biro
Marahil 'to'y 'di mo inaasahan
Pero sana'y'Wag ipinid ang pinto

Itikom ang bibig
Mata'y ibaling sa'kin
Pakinggan mo ang sasabihin ko

[Chorus]
Kailan mo ba matutunan?
Kailan mo ba 'pagsisigawang'
Di mo na 'pagkakailang tayo?
Kay rami nang pinagdaanan
Ano pa ba ang 'yong kailangan?
Nagsusumamo na sabihin mo

Ang diwa ko'yTigib sa kaiisip
Sa sarili'y laging
May kinikimkim
Patuloy lamang bang mananaginip?
At mananatili lang na nakapikit?

Ako'y mayro'ng batid
Ito'y iyong pag-amin
Hindi na natin maiiwasan 'to

Kailan mo ba matututtunan
Kailan mo ba pagsisigawan
Di mo na pagkakailang tayo
Kay rami ng pinagdaanan
Ano pa bang iyong kailangan
Nagsusumamo na sabihin mo...

Itikom ang bibig
Mata'y ibaling sa'kin
Pakinggan mo ang sasabihin ko

Naiiintindihan mo ba?

Kailan mo ba matututunan?
Kailan mo ba pagsisigawan?
Di mo na pagkakailang tayo?
Kay rami ng pinagdaanan
Ano pa bang iyong kailangan
Nagsusumamo na sabihin mo

Nagsusumamo na sabihin moHoh hooh...

Gabby Concepcion and His Controversial Comeback

GABBY CONCEPCION, who has been out of Philippine show business for more than a decade is back...with plenty of controversies attached to his name.

I've read in the Pilipino Star Ngayon tabloid that Gabby has signed a contract with GMA Films and was paid in advance to do a movie with them. But in the evening news TV Patrol World on ABS-CBN tonight, he reportedly signed an exclusive contract with ABS-CBN and its film productions Start Cinema.
Another daughter of him (with a businesswoman Grace Ibuna), Gabriel Arellano Concepcion also made a public appearance saying that they are not after the actor's misfits but are rather contented with their life without him.

Gabby Conception is also linked to the Jose Pidal controversy and is reported to have posted a bail amounting to P6, 000.00 for a falsification of puclic documents case.

It has been part of the showbiz culture in the Philippines to fuel the rising of new stars or shows with controversies. Are the issues concerning Gabby Concepcion's comeback are simply tactics to promote his future shows and those of his daughter's (KC Concepcion)?
