God of Love , a short film produced by Filipino-Americans , Gigi Dement , Stefanie Walmsley , and Stephen Dypiangco won Best Live Action Short in the Academy Awards 2011 . Gigi Dement, Stefanie Walmsley, and Stephen Dypianco Gigi hails from Baguio City and is now a filmmaker in New York ; Stefanie was once a host of GMA-7 's noontime show, Eat Bulaga , and has acted in a few films when she was younger; while Stephen is a son of Filipino immigrants in Los Angeles and has been building a name as an international filmmaker. Their entry, God of Love , is an 18-minute live action short film written and directed by Luke Matheny that revolves around the lives of a lounge singer, Raymond Goodfellow , who fell in love with his band-mate, whose real love is his best friend.
