BINI has another international music moment, and this one comes with a little DreamWorks magic.
The Nation’s Girl Group is part of the musical world of ** Forgotten Island,** a new DreamWorks Animation film inspired by Filipino mythology, family stories, and one of the most universal things in the world: friendship.
BINI’s “A Parallel World” is featured on the film’s official soundtrack, giving the group another opportunity to bring Filipino pop to an international audience.
And the collaboration doesn't end with the soundtrack.
The Forgotten Island campaign in the Philippines also has a distinctly familiar Filipino component: Jollibee.
BINI joins the ‘Forgotten Island’ soundtrack
“A Parallel World” forms part of the soundtrack of Forgotten Island, which follows best friends Jo and Raissa as they discover a mysterious portal that transports them to Nakali, a magical island filled with mythical creatures inspired by stories from their Filipino families.
The film stars Grammy and Academy Award winner H.E.R. and Filipino actress Liza Soberano as Jo and Raissa, with an international voice cast that includes Dave Franco, Lea Salonga, Jenny Slate, Manny Jacinto, Dolly de Leon, Jo Koy, and Ronny Chieng.
For BINI, being part of the soundtrack puts their music inside a project that is already deeply connected to Filipino storytelling.
That's an interesting place for a P-pop group to be.
Rather than simply exporting a Filipino song to an international project, “A Parallel World” becomes part of a film whose fantasy world itself draws inspiration from Filipino culture.
BINI also recorded a reimagined version of the track with Lea Salonga, titled “A Parallel World (Amping Mix).”
So you've got BINI and Lea Salonga—two generations of Filipino musical representation—coming together through a DreamWorks animated film rooted in Filipino-inspired mythology.

The Forgotten Island collaboration is also making its way beyond the cinema and into one of the most familiar places for Filipino families to hang out: Jollibee.
Jollibee Philippines is partnering with DreamWorks for the local campaign and will launch a limited-time Forgotten Island Adventure Bundle.
