THE NETWORK war is not only in ratings about their respective programs like News and Drama Series. The battle of the Station IDs is also one, which Filipino look forward to. Something new always comes out whenever it's Christmas, Summer, or the Rainy Season. It seems like these seasons would not be complete without them. What I like about this phenomenon is its being able to bring out the creativity in the people behind the networks' publicity. A few of the memorable ones include Sama Summer (ABS-CBN) Sama-sama Tayo Ngayong Pasko (ABS-CBN), Free (ABS-CBN), Sukob Na (ABS-CBN), and Kapuso, Makulay ang Buhay (GMA-7). This summer of 2008, the battle continues. ABS-CBN's station ID is dubbed One Summer, One Team, a catchy hip-hop song, which is quite reminiscent of it's last year's station ID because of the drum beats and the chanting. It also features kaleidoscopic images that reminds me of an old Del Monte Pineapple joice commercial. Here's the vid: GMA-7'
