Sarah G proves that she's the Popstar Royalty with show-stealing performance at Billboard PH

Despite the technical mishaps that plagued the Billboard PH Anniversary event, one bright spot managed to steal the show—Sarah Geronimo’s electrifying performance. While other acts were battling sound glitches, Sarah G took command of the stage, delivering a set so powerful it earned her the rarest of concert reactions in the Philippines: a standing ovation.

The event, held to celebrate the first anniversary of Billboard Philippines, brought together 33 of the country’s biggest and rising stars, including SB19, BINI, Adie, and Moira Dela Torre. The lineup had fans buzzing, but as technical difficulties hit several performances, the energy dipped. However, that didn’t stop Sarah G from delivering a masterclass in live performance.

Opening with the fan-favorite "Kilometro," Sarah immediately ignited the crowd. The energy she brought was unmatched, and the new choreography she introduced—her first since parting ways with Georcelle Dapat-Sy’s G-Force—was nothing short of spectacular. If anyone doubted her ability to reinvent herself, this performance erased any question marks. And the audience was soaking it all in.

As she moved into "Dati," the energy only grew. With a stunning dance break, Sarah dropped to the floor, sliding and kneeling, in what can only be described as a show-stopping moment. The crowd was living for it, and by the time "Tala" began, there was no turning back.

When "Tala" hit, the Filipino pop icon delivered an unforgettable performance, with every move sharp and precise, the beat reverberating through the arena. The sheer intensity of her dance break here had the crowd rising to their feet, giving her a well-deserved standing ovation—a rare occurrence in Filipino concerts, but when Sarah G’s on stage, the rules change.

Let's take a look at Sarah G's performance in this video:

This performance came on the heels of an incredible honor for Sarah Geronimo, who earlier this year became the first homegrown Filipino artist to receive the prestigious Global Force Award at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards in California. At the event, she stood alongside international powerhouses like Karol G and Annalisa, making waves for her achievements as a Filipino artist.

Sarah's ability to shine both on the global stage and in her home country is a testament to her enduring influence. Her Billboard PH performance proved that, even with technical challenges, she remains one of the most dynamic performers in the industry today.

Lyrics and Video of the Dyosa Theme Song: Himig ng Pag-ibig by Yeng Constantino

THE PRODUCTION design of ABS-CBN's newest fantaserye , DYOSA starring Anne Curtis is enticing. The musical score, theme song, and post-production are great. Kids at home really watch out for every episode of it. But what got my attention is the theme song, Himig ng Pag-ibig. originally sung by ASIN , and given a different interpretation by Yeng Constantino for the primetime series. So here is the video and lyrics of DYOSA's theme song: Himig ng Pag-ibig by Yeng Constantino Hoo hoo-hoo hoo-hoo Hoh hoh-hoo hoo-hoo Sa pagsapit ng dilim ako'y naghihintay pa rin Sa iyong maagang pagdating Pagkat ako'y nababalisa kung 'di ka kapiling Bawat sandali mahalaga sa atin.

'Proud Pinoy Ako': Olivia Rodrigo Rocks Manila and Owns Her Filipino Heritage

Olivia Rodrigo is the cool cousin we all wish we had, and Manila made sure she felt the love. The Filipino-American superstar got the ultimate homecoming reception during the Philippine leg of her GUTS tour at the Philippine Arena, with 55,000 fans ready to claim her as their own. Nicknamed "Insan Liv" (translation: cousin Liv) by her Filipino fans, Rodrigo stepped onstage to the kind of welcome you’d give a long-lost relative—warm, loud, and a little bit chaotic. She didn’t disappoint, kicking off a concert that was part pop spectacle, part family reunion, and all heart. But this wasn’t just about the music. Rodrigo made it clear she was here for something bigger, too. All ticket proceeds, priced at P1,500 each, went directly to her Fund 4 Good initiative. This isn’t your typical celebrity charity—it’s Olivia’s way of using her platform to build a more equitable future for women and girls through education, reproductive rights, and the fight against gender-based violence.

Are You Ready for Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts World Tour?

Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts World Tour is almost here, and excitement is in the air! Scheduled for October 5 at the Philippine Arena , tickets are priced at just 1,500 pesos for all sections, making this concert accessible for many. Plus, every ticket sold supports a great cause through Olivia's Fund 4 Good initiative, aimed at empowering women and girls around the globe. However, the ticket sales have been chaotic. Fans camped out for over 30 hours and still went home empty-handed as tickets sold out in less than 30 minutes . Many Livies are calling for a second concert date, hoping to secure a spot after the overwhelming demand during online sales and the limited over-the-counter (OTC) sales on September 29 . One fan tweeted, “We need Day 2, @oliviarodrigo. Some of your fans waited over 30 hours for OTC, but the tickets were sold out in less than 30 minutes!” Ticketing Chaos The situation has sparked frustration regarding transparency, especially since Live Nation PH and SM Tick
