Hinahanap mo ba ako o nawala na sa isip mo ang ako?” If those lyrics from Dionela’s hit song Sining haven’t been living rent-free in your head, it’s time to hit that play button and get with the program! With over 128 million streams on Spotify, this rising star has been making serious waves in the OPM scene—and trust me, he’s just getting started.

Let’s talk stats for a minute. Dionela is pulling in some heavy numbers with his top Spotify tracks:

  • Sining (feat. Jay R): 128.9 million streams
  • Musika: 100 million streams
  • Hoodie (feat. Alisson Shore): 36 million streams
  • Oksihina: 27.4 million streams

Those aren’t just numbers; they’re the soundtrack to an artist on a meteoric rise. Born in Guiguinto, Bulacan, Dionela started singing at the tender age of three, but his big break came in 2022 when he joined UMG Philippines under Republic Records. Fast forward to 2024, and this musical prodigy has solidified his place in the industry with the smash hit Sining, featuring none other than RnB royalty Jay-R.

Sining Dionel ft. Ray-R Lyrics

A flower is not a flower until they bloom
Like my first time living life the day I met you
Hate to think that humans have to die someday
A thousand years won't do ooh
No wonder I fell in love
Even though I'm scared to love (ah)
Baby I know the pain is unbearable
There's no way
Pinsala'y ikinamada
Oh binibining may salamangka
You've turned my limbics into a bouquet
Ikaw ay tila sining sa museong 'di naluluma
Binibini kong ginto hanggang kaluluwa
Gonna keep you like the nu couché
All my life
At kung sa tingin mo na ang oras mo'y lumipas na
Ako'y patuloy na mararahuyo sa ganda
I'd still kiss you every single day
All my life
If I could paint a perfect picture
Of the girl of my dreams with a curvy figure
Voice of an angel like a symphony
No doubt she's a masterpiece
No matter the color you're beautiful
You're one of a kind like a miracle
Hindi ka papanaw hanggang huling araw
Maging kabilang buhay ikaw ay ikaw
No wonder I fell in love
Even though I'm scared to love
Baby I know the pain is unbearable
There's no way
Pinsala'y ikinamada
Binibining may salamangka
You've turned my limbics
Into a bouquet (oh binibini)
Ikaw ay tila sining sa museong 'di naluluma
Binibini kong ginto hanggang kaluluwa
Gonna keep you like the nu couché
All my life
At kung sa tingin mo na ang oras mo'y lumipas na
Ako'y patuloy na mararahuyo sa ganda
I'd still kiss you every single day
All my life
At sa pagdating ng huling araw 'wag mag-alala
Naramdama'y habang buhay nakamantsa
That the world will never take away
After life

The Prince Has Found His Crown

When Sining hit the airwaves, it wasn’t just the fans who took notice. Jay-R himself—yes, the Jay-R—proclaimed on It’s Showtime that he’s ready to pass the torch to Dionela, saying, “I’m ready to turn over the title as RnB Prince to him.” That’s no small feat, considering Jay-R has long been the undisputed king of the genre in the Philippines. But Dionela’s smooth vocals, soulful lyricism, and magnetic stage presence are proof that he’s not just here to play—he’s here to reign.

From Viral Success to Mainstream Fame

Dionela’s journey to the top wasn’t without its challenges. In a recent interview on Wish 107.5, he opened up about how his newfound fame feels like a “lucid dream” and how he’s constantly riding a wave of confidence. “Ang sarap lang ng genuine love na nararamdaman ko ngayon,” Dionela said with a smile. He also shared that his girlfriend, Macy, has been his muse, inspiring many of his heartwarming tracks, including Langit, a song that metaphorically reaches for the clouds.

His interview with Wish 107.5 revealed just how down-to-earth and motivated he is, as he shared his journey of perseverance and finding his true sound. Dionela’s message to aspiring artists? Keep the fire alive and always remember why you started.

The Artistic Vision

Dionela’s artistic range is as versatile as it is heartfelt. His 2024 release Sining not only topped the Billboard Philippines Hot 100, but it also marked his debut as a music video director. Talk about a multi-talented artist! The song, which blends love, art, and introspection, has resonated with millions, thanks in part to Jay-R’s smooth RnB touch. This collaboration brought two generations of OPM talent together, cementing Dionela’s place as a new force in the genre.

Influenced by a blend of RnB greats like Ginuwine, Ne-Yo, Destiny’s Child, and contemporary artists such as Bruno Mars, The Weeknd, and H.E.R., Dionela’s music is a modern ode to classic grooves. He aims to inspire new artists, sharing his journey from uncertainty to confidence, and encouraging them to persevere.

What’s Next for Dionela?

Dionela hinted during his Wish 107.5 interview that more music is on the way, teasing tracks that connect to his previous hits. He’s excited to experiment with new sounds while staying true to his style—one that evokes both nostalgia and fresh vibes. With collaborations already under his belt (shoutout to Alisson Shore and Jay-R), we can only expect bigger and better things from this musical dynamo.

So, is Dionela ready to wear the crown as the new Prince of Filipino RnB? With the numbers, the talent, and the backing of both fans and industry legends, it looks like it’s not just a possibility—it’s inevitable.

Remember the name, folks. Dionela’s reign has only just begun.

Lyrics and Video of the Dyosa Theme Song: Himig ng Pag-ibig by Yeng Constantino

THE PRODUCTION design of ABS-CBN's newest fantaserye , DYOSA starring Anne Curtis is enticing. The musical score, theme song, and post-production are great. Kids at home really watch out for every episode of it. But what got my attention is the theme song, Himig ng Pag-ibig. originally sung by ASIN , and given a different interpretation by Yeng Constantino for the primetime series. So here is the video and lyrics of DYOSA's theme song: Himig ng Pag-ibig by Yeng Constantino Hoo hoo-hoo hoo-hoo Hoh hoh-hoo hoo-hoo Sa pagsapit ng dilim ako'y naghihintay pa rin Sa iyong maagang pagdating Pagkat ako'y nababalisa kung 'di ka kapiling Bawat sandali mahalaga sa atin.

Bea Alonzo is Betty La Fea

THE GORGEOUS Bea Alonzo transforms into an ugly but intelligent woman working in a fashion design comapany, Eco Moda, for yet another Pinoy remake of an international drama series, i ♥ Betty la fea (pronounced I Love Betty La Fea) on ABS-CBN. The new drama series is based on the Colombian drama series, Yo Soy Betty La Fea (I am Betty the Ugly), which was also franchised in the US with the TV drama Ugly Betty . What's good about this Pinoy version is that Bea really looks like Betty of the original drama series, which was shown here few years ago. I'm really wathcing out for this show. i ♥ Betty la fea is top-billed by big names in the Philippine showbiz industry. Here's the list of the show's cast from wikipedia: Bea Alonzo as Beatriz Pengson / Betty Piolo Pascual John Lloyd Cruz as Armando Solis Ruffa Gutierrez as Daniela Valencia [1] Vhong Navarro as Nicolas Mora [2] Ai Ai delas Alas as Julia Pengson Sam Concepcion as Andrew Pengson Ronaldo Valdez as Hermes

Hana Kimi to be shown on ABS-CBN and GMA-7

THE NETWORK war is on getting fiercer again. Proof? They are showing the same (same title, at least) TV series on March 24--the Taiwanese adaptation on ABS-CBN and the Japanese on GMA-7. I did a little research and found out that the story of these TV dramas are based on the manga series, Hanazakari no Kimitachi e or For You in Full Blossom. The plot is about a girl who enrolls in a school for boys just to get near her idol. A twist of events eventually revealed her identity to the school doctor. Many could associate this to the Koreanovela Coffee Prince on GMA-7. In fact, some ABS-CBN fanatics think that it is the network's answer to Coffee Prince , which had just ended. The million-dollar question is, which version is better, the Taiwanese of the Japanese version? A scene from the Taiwanese version (Wikipedia.com) Mukamo.com says that the Japanese version could be better because it's funny, but it also says that the Taiwanese version could also be attractive to fans beca
